GS1 Qatar Office is governed by a Management Board composed of distinguished leaders and experts representing key national sectors, including government entities, industry stakeholders, and retailers within the State of Qatar. The Board ensures strategic direction, governance, and oversight of the organization’s activities, while supporting the adoption of GS1 standards to enhance efficiency, transparency, and digital transformation across supply chains at the national level. As a result, the Management Board reflects a strong national, multi-sectoral representation aligned with Qatar’s economic vision and development goals.
Dr. Hamad Mejegheer

About
Dr. Hamad Salem Mejegheer serves as Chairman of the Board of GS1
Qatar, where he provides strategic direction and governance oversight,
ensuring alignment with global GS1 standards and international best
practices. In this capacity, he plays a key role in advancing the adoption of
global identification and supply chain standards across Qatar, supporting
enhanced efficiency, transparency, and digital transformation across
industries.
In his role as Executive Director of SME Development at Qatar
Development Bank, Dr. Mejegheer leads the design and execution of national
strategies that empower SMEs, foster entrepreneurship, and strengthen the
private sector’s contribution to Qatar’s economy, in alignment with Qatar
National Vision 2030.
Dr. Mejegheer brings extensive expertise in strategic leadership,
institutional governance, and economic development. He also serves as a board
member across several organizations, contributing to policy development,
innovation, and sustainable growth initiatives.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Swiss Business School (SBS), equipping him with strong academic and practical foundations in leadership and business transformation.
